MGMT is saving the music video

A couple weeks ago I saw the video for “Time to Pretend” and it actually managed to grab my attention for all 4:21 minutes of the song (as opposed to the 15 seconds, which has been the recent record) Does anyone else miss the good old days when being original didn’t mean distracting your audience from the same tired ideas with bright colours. I miss radiohead (the old radiohead: pre nervous breakdown) and massive attack – what the hell happened to Jonathan Glazer, he was sick.
Anyway, if you haven’t gotten into MGMT, do. They seem like pretty fabulous fellows. They wore capes when they performed on David Letterman. And not short poncho type, socially acceptable capes, like full on I-play-dungeons-and-dragons-in-my-basement to-the-floor cloaks, it was pretty BADASS.
